An iconic Middle Tennessee property could soon become a small, 15-home subdivision, according to recent reports from multiple news outlets. First reported by The Tennessean, Reba McEntire’s former estate in Wilson County, Starstruck Farm, was recently purchased for $5 million, and the new owner has already submitted a final plat that breaks up a portion of the property’s 83 acres into 15 individual home sites.
As noted in the report, each of the 15 homes would be built on vacant land within the estate’s property, which is located near Highway 109 and Cherokee Dock Road near the Sumner County line.
If approved, the new subdivision, which is being called Cherokee Meadows, will occupy about 17 acres in all with lot sizes ranging from just under an acre to 1.82 acres. A preliminary plat has already been approved by Wilson County’s planning commission, so it’s likely a final proposal should be pushed through sooner rather than later.
It was also reported that additional phases could also be possible, or larger home sites over 5 acres could also be sold, which wouldn’t require subdivision review or approval from the county.
Future plans for the existing 12,816 square foot home, which has seven bedrooms and five full bathrooms, and two-and-a-half bathrooms, are still unclear.
