Every year we see various publications rank some of the best places to live in the U.S., best places to work in the U.S., and so on down the line.
And although it’s hard to quantify what these rankings really mean in the grand scheme of things, it’s still nice to see Nashville continue to get recognition for everything it has to offer.
Earlier in 2016, Forbes ranked Nashville as one of the best big cities in the country for job growth right now, while Credit Sesame mentioned Music City as one of the best places in the U.S. for young home buyers looking to finally make that long awaited transition from renting to owning.
As we continue to push through a year that’s really seen a lot of positive growth in so many different ways, Nashville is continuing to receive top honors from more websites, news outlets, and other publications, but most recently from Condé Nast Traveler—a luxury travel magazine that provides travel news, tips, guides and ideas for people who love to explore.
This time, Nashville was named one of the friendliest cities in the word in 2016—a list that was devised by Condé Nast Traveler readers over the past four years. According to the website, 128,000 people participated in the survey, and the results were based on how well visitors were treated, whether or not locals helped them during their stay, and how easy the city was to navigate.
Overall, Nashville ranked #10 on the list of 30 cities for reasons relating to the city’s character, it’s perfect size, the wide range of affordable accommodations, and of course the awesome and friendly people who happen to call Music City home. Other U.S. cities to make the list included Charleston, South Carolina; New Orleans, Louisiana; Austin, Texas; Santa Fe, New Mexico; Ashville, North Carolina; Jackson, Wyoming; and Burlington, Vermont.
